Damian Sheerin Architects provide a comprehensive and professional service which is focused on good design, efficient, dynamic interaction with clients and vigilant monitoring of budgets. Our main objective is to provide you with a building which meets your requirements while minimising the stress of the process of obtaining it. We will guide you through the construction process, keeping you fully informed along the way.
The Process:
Before: We will visit you (at your home, office, or the property or site in question) to fully understand your requirements. If necessary we’ll provide you with a condition report to assist in securing finance. We will then carry out a feasibility study and produce proposals which will be presented to you in a user friendly format using sketches, 3-dimensional computer simulations, physical models or other media as appropriate. When you are happy with the design we will (if the works are not exempt) prepare an application for planning permission or other required statutory approvals. We can also prepare a schedule of works, drawings and specifications in order to obtain quotes from building contractors. And we can even advise and help you with selecting one.
During: We can help you to manage the project during construction by administering a building contract and inspecting the works in progress; we can also issue certificates of compliance with planning permission and building regulations.
After: One year after completion, we will return and do a thorough inspection of all the works. We will make sure that anything that needs to be remedied by the builder will be done – and at the builder’s expense.
